The Deep Eddy
Good, old-fashioned deep tissue massage. Not for the weak of heart. Slow strokes delivered from origin to insertion to iron away stored tension. Deep Tissue Massage brings about realignment of postural distortions and restores proper range of motion. Muscle function and awareness is balanced and elasticity is restored.
Loop 360
360 degrees of massage! This sports massage incorporates swift, three dimensional strokes to flush metabolic wastes out of the tissues. Great for cleaning out large muscles as well as lubricating the joints. Ideal for runners, cyclists and triathletes. And gym buffs of course. Training for an event? The 360 will help you cut back on recovery time by reducing delayed onset muscle soreness.

People from all walks of life are discovering the health enhancing benefits of Massage Therapy. Beyond simply making you "feel good", massage offers an impressive range of therapeutic benefits. A skilled massage therapist can relieve bodily tension by stretching and loosening muscle and connective tissue, and at the same time greatly improving blood flow to the heart and promoting movement of lymph fluid through the body.
Massage can speed the removal of metabolic waste products resulting from exercise or inactivity, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach the cells and tissue. Therapeutic massage can also stimulate the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers, into the brain and nervous system. Many people have never experienced professional bodywork and have a multitude of questions. Some of the more frequent questions are:
If I'm healthy and active, why would I consider therapeutic massage?
To improve your recovery time between vigorous exercise. To prevent injuries caused by overuse or intense use of muscles. To aid in rehabilitation after medical treatment for injuries or physical therapy. To relieve everyday stress as well as more extreme stresses from pressure or crisis.
What can I expect with my first massage?
Initially, the therapist will ask about your reasons for getting a massage, your current physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels, any specific area of pain, etc.
In a full-body massage, the therapist works on all muscles. In a session devoted to localized injury, pain, tightness, or sports readiness, specific muscles receive concentrated attention. The length of the massage will be determined at the outset.
Is it good to get a massage on a regular basis?
The therapeutic effects of massage are cumulative. From one session to the next, you are able to relax more and more as the chronic patterns of stress in the body are relieved.
If I get a massage for pain or injury, will my insurance cover it?
If a physician prescribes it, your insurance will sometimes cover it. It depends on the company and the policy. Discuss this with your massage therapist.
Types of Massage Offered
Swedish Massage is a light to firm nurturing massage which promotes full body relaxation.
Aromatherapy is the use of pure essential oils to improve health and reduce stress. Essential oils have been used to improve health in the physical, emotional and mental states. They have been utilized for thousands of years.
Deep Tissue Massage brings about realignment of postural distortions and restores proper range of motion. Muscle function and awareness is balanced and elasticity is restored.
Hot Stone Therapy utilizes volcanic hot stones for warming and relaxing the muscles. Hot stones can be incorporated into a Swedish Massage (partial hot stone) or used throughout the session (full body treatment).
Prenatal Massage helps ease the emotional ups and downs as well as aid in the unique physical challenges of pregnancy.
Reflexology combines massage and pressure points on the feet and hands to help re-establish energy flow, improve circulation and balance and relieve stress.
Sports Massage addresses the muscles used in athletic activities. It combines classical Swedish style with stretching designed to aid circulation and recovery. Excellent when preparing for sports activities or after a strenuous workout.
A massage is a great gift item. Gift certificates may be obtained at the front desk.
