Yoga refers to the traditional physical, mental and spiritual disciplines, originating in ancient India, whose goal is the attainment of a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility. There are many forms of yoga and EVERYBODY is discovering the benefits of incorporating a regular practice.

Yoga Classes are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted in parantheses.

Class Descriptions

Alignment Based Hatha*
Incorporates a strong influence of the Iyengar method with alignment cues given for each pose in a challenging, yet upbeat and fun way for the intermediate to advanced yogi. (90 Minutes)

Gentle Yoga
Helps develop balance, strength, and flexibilty. Move through a sequence of postures and joint movements to improve body awareness, develop core strength, and develop healthy alignment in the spine. (75 Minutes)

Hatha / Ashtanga*
A combined practice with some athletic forms (Pilates and occasional use of weights) safely guided into postures and poses at a proper pace for all levels within each individual class. (60 Minutes)

Hatha Flow
This “yoga for health” class will ease your mind and guide mental clarity toward strength, flexibility and relaxation with emphasis on creating body expansion while calming the mind. (60 - 90 Minutes)

Hatha / Viniyoga
Hatha style elements combined with Viniyoga consisting of a slower, more therapeutic- focused movements with a progression emphasis on sequencing poses and modifications. (60 Minutes)

Iyengar
An invigorating class with a focus on alignment awareness, strength building and flexibility. This class will create a rejuvenating and relaxing experience to the body, mind and spirit. (60 Minutes)

Kundalini
Taught in the tradition of Yogi Bhahan, this form includes movement exercises, breath work, mantra, mudra, bandhas, meditation and gong relaxation to harmonize body and mind. (75 Minutes)

Sattva ($2.50 Charge)
Using the principles of flow, alignment and breathe, this class weaves together an enriching experience of peace and wellness suitable for all levels in this weekend practice. (75 Minutes)

Tai Chi
Based on the yang style forms and qi gong breathing practice, this class incorporates gentle, constant movement, balance, flexibility and chi (energy) production. Enjoy an energizing hour that will clear your mind and balance your body. (60 Minutes)

Vinyasa Flow (*Certain Times)
Literally translating to “breath-synchronized movement,” vinyasa is a gentle, flowing practice designed to warm and strengthen the body and increase joint flexibility via a series of balancing, stretching, twists and inversions will follow and ending with deep relaxation.
